This collection is consisted of a number of folders containing original records and other related documents used for the regular and extraordinary meetings of the Executive Committee of the Scout Council of the Scout Associaion of Hong Kong, covering the years from 1952 to 19881. It includes meeting agendas, notices, minutes, and papers and reports presented in these meetings.

Abstract

This collection is composed of records created by the Executive Committee of the Scout Council of the (Boy) Scout Association of Hong Kong related to its meetings, from 1952 to 1988. Individual folders contain meeting agenda, minutes, presentation papers,statements and other attachments used in these meetings.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

The collection of records was transferred to the Hong Kong Scout Archives by the Administration Branch of the Scout Association of Hong Kong in 2008. It was intially processed in the same year and re-processed in August, 2015.

Materials Specific Details

Most early records are in English only, although some of the later records may be in both English and Chinese, or contain reports or attachemnts or in Chinese alone.

Physical Description

Foxing and browning exist on some early paper documents, which are often brittle and fragile, and must be handled with utmost care with archival gloves.
