This is a commemorative Photo Album presented by the Boy Scouts Association, Hong Kong Branch to Mr. C. H. Blason, Hon. Treasurer, Asst. Commissioner, on his retirement, dated April 6, 1929.

As all the pages have been scanned and photographed ONLY soft copies of the album pages will be retrieved for use by authorized users. Acces to the physical volume will only be granted in VERY EXCEPTIONAL cases of clearly demonstrated needs, and require the written pre-approval of the ACC (PR) or the Association Archivist.

Additional Description

Immediate Source of Acquisition

This photo album of pre-WWII Hong Kong Scout photos was donated to the Scout Association of Hong Kong by the descendants of the owner of this album, and had been held for a number of years by the Public Relations Branch of the Association. It was tranferred to the Hong Kong Scout Archives on March 27, 2017, in accordance with the agreement between the Chief Commissioner, the Assistant Chief Commissioner (PR) and the Association Archvist to transfer all pre-WWII photo albums to the Archives for repairs, accessioning, cataloguing and secured and fire-resistant storage in the Archives.

Most photos in very good conditions, given age. But some photos have been cut out from the album and are missing, and some pages are completely missing.c
