Immediate Source of Acquisition

This collection of papers were resuced from a very poorly maintained area of the backup storage room of the Association, and the documents had been kept for a number of years in rather poor and dirty storage conditions, hence in poor to very poor conditions, unsuitable for physical access at this stage.

Most documents are in English, Chinese or bilingual.

Condition Description

Many of the documents in this collection are in poor to very poor conditions, having suffered through a long period of poor storage conditions, before they were retrieved from backup storage. They would require further cleaning and restoration before access should be granted for their normal use. Digitisation should also be considered as many of the documents are very fragile and physical access may permanently damaged them.
